Trip to Kita Kyushu
Our long-time friend, Takashi, was happily married at the beginning of December to Tomoko, and we were priviledged with being part of the ceremony. Art performed the wedding, Julia was the veil-bearer, and Jason carried the rings. Since our friends live on the other end of Japan from us, it required an overnight trip on a ferry, 12 hours total, to reach their place, not including train and bus time. It was the first time for the kids and I to go this far 'south' in Japan, I've never been past Kyoto in that direction.
Enjoy the lovely photos we took of the ceremony and our trip there!
